The Organization of the Islamic Cooperation-Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) Cloud Security Working Group, co-chaired by the UAE Cybersecurity Council and National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, has unveiled the OIC-CERT Cloud Security Framework. The initiative was officially launched by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity, United Arab Emirates Government, and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez, Vice President of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority for Cybersecurity Affairs, and Head of the Executive Bureau of the Supreme Council of Cybersecurity. The framework is designed to provide guidance to organizations on how to secure their cloud computing environments and protect their data and systems from cyber threats.

The OIC-CERT Cloud Security Framework is a welcome development in the effort to secure cloud computing. It provides organizations with a comprehensive set of guidelines on how to protect their data and systems from cyber threats. However, it is important to note that while the framework provides a good starting point, organizations should also take additional steps to ensure their cloud computing environment is secure. This includes regularly monitoring their systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities, as well as implementing additional security measures such as encryption and authentication.
